Mold Inspections

Mold InspectionsConducting visual inspections for signs of mold or water damage are the first steps in the process of assessing the presence of mold. When necessary, we collect mold samples for laboratory analysis, using air, surface, or bulk samples. This process allows us to identify the various types of molds and propose remediation procedures. Depending on the project, Agent 99, ISPI’s mold detection canine, may be asked to search for hidden mold sources.

Respiratory Protection & Fit Testing

RespiratorQuantitative: ISPI will administer Quantitative fit testing for any type of tight-fitting respirator. Quantitative fit testing uses a machine to measure the actual amount of leakage into the facepiece and does not rely upon your sense of taste, smell, or irritation in order to detect leakage.

Qualitative: ISPI will administer Qualitative fit testing for half-mask respirators – those that just cover your mouth and nose. Qualitative fit testing is a pass/fail test method that uses your sense of taste or smell, or your reaction to an irritant in order to detect leakage into the respirator facepiece.

A respirator can’t protect you if it doesn’t fit your face. It’s that simple. Certain respirators, known as tight-fitting respirators, must form a tight seal with your face or neck to work properly. If your respirator doesn’t fit your face properly, contaminated air can leak into your respirator facepiece, and you could breathe in hazardous substances.

Each person required to wear a respirator as part of their employment must be fit tested annually and when new respirators are introduced. We support, Full-face, Half-face, SCBA, CCBA and specialty respirator fit tests

Occupational Exposure Monitoring

OccExposureMonitorISPI’s highly qualified experts will collect air or surface samples for specific chemical compounds to determine the cause and degree of the contaminant as well as potential employee exposure including, but not limited to:

  • Particulates
  • Toxic Gases
  • Radiation
  • Chemicals
  • Solvents

  • Welding Fumes
  • Volatile Organic Compounds
  • Lead
  • Bacteria / Endotoxin

Indoor Air Quality

Air_Quality1Whether investigating an employee grievance or just being proactive, ISPI’s trained staff will examine your site for pollutant levels utilizing on-site, professionally calibrated diagnostic tools. When readings are outside acceptable guidelines, ISPI assesses the area and identifies the cause. This enables you to address and eliminate any potential issues.

OSHA & Cal/OSHA Compliance Audits

CalOshaISPI’s Certified Safety Professionals will conduct comprehensive inspections of your facility to ensure compliance with OSHA and industry standards for general industry and construction are met. We provide recommendations as well as improvement strategies, when necessary, to ensure full facility compliance and establish an optimum working environment for your employees.

Control of Hazardous Energy (Lockout/Tagout) Assessment and Written Procedures

LockOutA Lockout/Tagout procedure ensures the safety of employees, protects your valuable equipment, minimizes production downtime and keeps you in compliance with federal regulations.
The lockout/Tagout standard requires the adoption and implementation of practices and procedures necessary to shut down equipment, isolate it from its energy source, and prevent the release of potentially hazardous energy. Regulations require the Lockout/Tagout procedures be updated and documented every time equipment is changed. ISPI specializes in all aspects of the Lockout/Tagout process and will assist in creating a new system, revamping an existing system, writing Lockout/Tagout procedures for each piece of equipment and training employees how to follow procedures.

Noise (Sound Pressure Level) Monitoring and Exposure Control

NoiseMonitoringIt is well-documented that as sound levels increase so does hearing loss. Noise can interfere with communication which can result in accidents, reduced productivity and an increase in errors. ISPI will evaluate your facility for noise levels and potential damage as well as recommend specific ways to facilitate a safer work environment.

Ventilation Design and Development

VentilationDesignISPI’s Certified Industrial Hygienists (CIH) will test, monitor, and re-design existing systems or design new systems to add value, reduce cost, and provide reliability. Our CIHs are highly skilled and have extensive experience designing, implementing, and maintaining ventilation systems for leading companies throughout the semiconductor and medical organizations.

Radiation Monitoring (non-nuclear)

RadiationMonitoring3Since radiation cannot be detected by human senses, ISPI’s qualified technicians will inspect your site using our sophisticated testing equipment to ensure a safe, productive and radiation controlled environment
